On the Horizon…

Well this blog has been lots of silly things recently, lots of memes and well I'm not one to break the habit with this post! But seriously coming soon is an actual sensible post about a few things I've been thinking about... whenI manage to complete it. As normal it will be throughly rambly and far too verbose.

But for now....

Little Red Boats's musing on Why toilet paper is evil just made me laugh lots.

How many of these do you mispronounce?

If someone sees this man anywhere let me know

Via the newly discovered and fantasticGreen Fairy last night saw me take the Match.com Attraction test. You go through a series of questions and photos telling them who you find attractive and then it comes up with your ideal man/woman.

The qualities I look for are apparnatly:

*Interestingly, a lot of the features you liked are not especially popular. You don't go for Mr Mainstream. 63% of women don't like what I like
Um..... Hello I like freaks?
* You appreciate someone with a few extra pounds.
* Cute, button or small noses
* Glasses and the sophisticated and smart look that goes with them.

If we're talking Wesley stylee...
* You're not one to judge people based on their looks.
* I want to date someone between 20 and 27
* You are particularly keen on "The Boy Next Door." He has an open face, with big eyes, and a big grin. He has a youthful or boyish quality that will follow him throughout his life. Typically this look is associated with light brown hair, a close shave, and blue or hazel eyes.
* You seemed especially interested in men with green eyes.
Er ok never noticed
* A good head of hair is a real turn on for you. You like medium length wavy hair

Apparantly I don't like
* Long and narrow "rectangular" faces
* Blond Hair
Yup thats normally right.
* Beards and other furry faces

LOL.

Oh thats fantastically funny. I ROFLed a good deal through most of the report ...
Please please give it a go for amusements sake and see what your ideal person on a purely materialistic level looks like! :D

And don't forget boys and girls, the rule is if you do it you have to blog it!

Meh

Yay I haven't checked one of my favourite blogs for ages as they had gone on hiatus, but celebrate Troubled Diva is back!

Oh Oh Oh and Joff has finally got himself going! Oh and the new SRAsite is underway.

Two quotes for you before bed...

"It's not the burdens of everyday that drive men mad. It is the regret of yesterday and the fear of tomorrow. Regret and fear are twin thieves that rob us of today."

Love deeply and passionately. You may get hurt, but its the only way to live life completely.

I wish I could take my own advice

Things that make you go aaah

I've been trying to make people think of silly little things that make you happy recently. Sometimes we all get so worked up about the bad thing in life and completely forget about those aspects which we take for granted.

Sit down and type out on your blog 10 things off the top of your head that make you happy or make you smile, no matter how small or insignificant you think they are. And trust me it will make you smile 10 times as you think of them.

Here's 10 of the top of my head:

* My hair being soft and shiny
* Hearing a new song which I like and telling my friends about it.
* DJing at the union with Rik or Ed.
* Wrapping up warmly in a scarf
* Buying a new outfit and then wearing it for the first time
* Hanging out with my old mates from RaW
* My flatmates
* Listening to the Chris Moyles show
* A new episode of Angel
* Taking a wicked picture which captures memories forever.

There we go just a little happymaking moment thing. Give it a go :-)

The Soundtrack to our lives

Well term is over and its ended with a lot of work done and a lot of work still to do. But its been a nice term, good friends have been made, RaW has got some of its old social spirit back, hair straighteners & digital cameras have been bought, rugby matches have been watched and Your disco needs you has been played as the penultimate song at Top Banana.

But one of the things I simply could not live without is music. Just a few minutes of silence leaves me needing it. I've just read Matt's latest blog and he's told us the tunes that have kept him going this term.

So without further a do here's mine...

NERD - Lapdance
Kylie Minogue - Your Disco Needs You
Les Miserables - Empty Chairs & Empty Tables
Britney - Toxic
Badly Drawn Boy - Something to Talk About
Pink - God is a DJ
Boogie Pimps - Somebody to Love
Easyworld - Til the Day
Easyworld - Bleach
Easyworld - Hundredweight
Ferry Corsten - Rock your body rock
Death Cab for Cutie - The New Year
Will Young - Your Game
Jane Weilden - Rush Hour
Aztec Camera - Somewhere in Your Heart
Lynden David Hall - All you need is Love
Air - All I need

Grover!

I love this website a lot

Say Hello

to DiscoStu - my favourite bundle of Top B Blue coloured fun :D

Playing now…

Currently doing the rounds on blogs is something I used to do about 18 months ago on the blog v.1.

Put your iTunes/Winamp/WMP whatever onto random and then write down the first 20 tracks it plays regardless of how embarrasing they are...

So as I sit here writing an essay about John Lewis here goes...

1. Thick Dick - Insatiable - A track I first heard playing over the shop system in River Island, Coventry. Carys liked it so we hunted it down to find out what it was. Its a light funky house track with a female vocal and tis pretty good. Its the kinda track you would dance about to thinking you were dancing in a very sexual slinky way! (Oh dear I'm talking crap again)

2. S Club - Say Goodbye - Jeez I haven't heard this since it came out. The farewell S Club single doubled A with the fantastic Love ain't gonna wait for you. Nowhere near the standard of the majestic Never had a dream come true, the almighty S Club bowed out of our lives almost a year ago. One of the funniest things ever was Dom coming to an S Club concert in 2nd year with Dee & myself. Dom is about 6 foot 5 and just looked ridicuously out of place boogying away to himself in a room full of small children!

3. Delta Goodram - Will you fall for me - The former Neighbour brough out a pretty good album of piano based, on the whole beautiful, ballads. Not heard much of this song before and I don't think anything can beat the fantastic Innocent Eyes or Lost without you

4. S Club 8 - One Fine Day - ahem. From their first less mature album. Is this in Grease?? It sounds very familiar. S Club 8 do undeniably have some fantastic pop songs and yes I know its all wrong but hey. Gimme a tune that beats Sundown.

5. Rachel Stevens - Glide - Oh god. This is turning into an S Club orgy. I do have other stuff! This is just iTunes trying to embarass me. Taking from her debut solo album Funkydory, I met this smouldering piece of perfection when I was doing some work experience in London and she was actually really nice. The album isn't that great but there are some nice tunes just to bop your head to when working.

6. Delfonics - Didn't I - From the film Jackie Brown.

7. Jackson 5 - Blame it on the Boogie - You all know it and you all do the dance very drunk :P

8. Santana - Foo Foo - From the Shamen album, the latin wizard of guitar .

9. Jamelia - Club Hoppin' - The comeback kid of the moment Jamelia from the Thank you album. Loved Superstar (did anyone not?), but didn't like anything else on the album at all upon first listen. But now the new single has grown on me too so maybe it deserves another chance. Actually this is a wicked little number..

10. Plummett - Damaged - I don't need to say anything but CHOOOOOON!

Only I might find this funny

but it made me laugh for a while!

It’s just a phase I’m going through

Just thought I'd take a quick look and see what people are upto:

Milly is celebrating winning RaW secretary. Yay you.

Carly is in about the same state as me. Dissertation stresses all round.

Neil is giving away satanic Kylie dolls.

My very favourite Rik is babbling about fruit machines, celebrating not being RaW webmaster anymore and pondering not graduating.

Dan is ill! Get well soon honey!

Ed and Stephen are busy preparing for Meta 9 on Friday.

Aaaargh

Currently arging at

project presentation 2moro
Lots of essays
No concentration
RaW not having a SM
Organising Spring Conference
The state of my room

Argh.
