Nina_1

"We wanted to call the album something really ridiculous like Nerve-Wracking Acrobatic Backwards Dance  but the record company were like.... erm, no!"

Oi! Give me some!

Oi! Give me some!, originally uploaded by g_lined.

My friends are scaring me muchly with this 'experiment'.

Happy 36th Birthday Grover!

Insidegrover
Happy Birthday to the best of all the muppets

I could rant about how unfairly Grover has been treated in life, how that wanker of a creature they call Elmo manipulated and destroyed Grover in the eyes of the CTW production team, but I'll leave that to the brilliant 'Grover is Bitter' .

Let's just remember the great times he gave us when we were growing up.   And continue spending time each night with our Elmo voodoo doll made of POO.

When Trixie met Ladytron

Ladytron203_203x152_1"We’ve
ended up becoming a cult band.  I don’t know if we do want to be
mainstream, we don’t want to get so big that all our fans get bored of
us. We’d sooner just gradually grow over 5 or 6 albums rather than have
some huge hit that becomes an albatross."

Find out what else the band had to say when I caught up with Danny & Reuben at CD:UK towers last week here.

Ladytron - Witching Hour

Ladytronwitching_2
"For a band so oft accused of being detached and cold, this album is filled with emotion, from the forcefulness of Destroy to the snarl of Mira's Bulgarian sung Fighting in Built Up Areas."

Find out a little bit more about Ladytron's Witching Hour here.

Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better

Franz

"They haven't suddenly decided they are going to become oh so serious,
with no track clocking in at longer than just over 4 minutes, nor have
they lost the fun and vibrancy that made us love them in the first
place. The change comes, most obviously, in production values."

Find out what else I thought about Franz's 2nd album here.
