Way back when

I've just imported all the blog entries I used to have on my old blog... When you're a clone you're never alone. They make quite fun reading as I used to take more care over my writing and talk about music rather than self indulgent rubbish. So as you can see the archive has grown somewhat!

I also rediscovered my 100 things post. My how some things have changed. I will redo it shortly I think. LOL@ 47,89 & 95.

Oh and bless this post too.

My how one finds things to do when its revision time :-)

All Day Long I Dream About Sex

OH. MY. GOD.

JC Chasez - All Day Long I Dream About Sex.

It's been a while since a song has made me leap off my chair and whoop upon first hearing, but this did.

This is the 3rd song to be released from his album - Schizophrenic, following the double A side single, Some Girls (dance with women) and Blowin' Me Up (with her love). What's with the brackets boy?? Now I found those songs pretty 'meh' some, they were ok, but nothing special.

But this!!! WOW. It's some crazy retro electroclash track which everyone else I know thinks is wank, but man I love it. I've been playing it non stop. Give it a go.

Also rocking my boat at the moment:

O-Zone - Dragostea din tei
NERD - Rockstar (jason nevin's remix)
Girls Aloud - The Show (this is awesome)

Sia - Breathe Me

Be my friend.
Hold me.
Wrap me up.
Unfold me.
I am small and needy.
Warm me up,
And Breathe me.

Awesome. The lady from zero 7 I believe.

It was only a kiss… how did it end up like this

One of my new favourite bands are Las Vegas' The Killers .

From Las Vegas, you may have heard Somebody Told Me which charted at number 28 in March. If not their new single Mr Brightside is out on Monday, followed by the album Hot fuss the following week. They are electrorocky and quite simply ACE.

#
Coming out of my cage
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all

It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss
It was only a kiss

Now I'm falling asleep
And she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke
And she's taking the drag

Now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head
But she's touching his chest now

He takes off her dress now
Let me go
And I just can't look
It's killing me
And taking control

Jealousy
Turning saints into the sea
Turning through sick lullaby
Joking on your alibi
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
I'm Mr. Brightside

(repeat)

Covered in Punk

Heidi passed along a promo copy of Portobello - Covered in punk, a few weeks ago in the belief that it was my type of tune. Although it took a few listens it is a wicked punky poppy number, vaguely along the same lines as Addicted to Bass. Radio 1 have just started using it on a trail, so hopefully it will be big. Have a listen out for it.

The Girl in Question

Well i'm not doing a very good job of keeping this weblog upto date at all, am I?

So to update you briefly:

I have started working in my dream job on a freelance basis and all is good. I'm loving it, the people and the place and hope that I will do well there. In order to take this job, I had to take a major risk, and turn down a permanant year contract with a different sector of the company. I did do, to follow the dream man! But I am convinced I made the right decision .

Last week was rampacked with things to do. My project was in on Wednesday morning and i had to be in work in London by 10am. Now, being me, I only finished my project at 6am and then had to race for the 7.30 train. I proceeded to work the day and then go to the Sony Radio Academy Awards in the evening... all without any sleep. This was a fantastic event and involving a LOT of wine! Caught up with lots of people I knew, and met lots of cool new people. We were most distraught however when it reached 1.30 and the event bar shut, and the hotel bar refused to serve us without room numbers. What hotel bar does that?!? (they may all... i have no idea) Even our made up room numbers weren't helping, dammit.

Thursday at work involving me feeling a bit rough for a few hours, but then I was thankfully ok. Had an SRA Awards meeting in the evening before a bit of quality time in the Champion with Heids, Jeff & Miles, following that with some 2nd thursday action and some pizza express.

Friday, Martin showed me round BBC7 and Broadcasting House, which was aceness as I had been into BH a couple of times but not really seen much.

The weekend has just involved me dossing about.

Flathunting and revision starts today!

I'll update with something far more interesting that my life in action when I have time!

Cheerio all

Trixie xx

Oh and by the way, Pat I hope you have a good shop today x
